Lent Devotionals

The season of Lent is a time of spiritual preparation for the new life we receive through the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It is a special time of study, inward reflection, and prayer.

Many devotional booklets have been created by professional writers and theologians to assist Christians reflect on Holy Scripture as they journey through Lent. The files available on this website are taken from a booklet which holds many similarities to those publications, with one very important difference. The writers of these devotions are your co-workers from 3rd COSCOM units across Iraq. From enlisted soldiers to civilians to general officers, members of the deployed COSCOM team have stepped up to share their faith with you. You will find a difference in writing styles, experience, and perspective as you work your way through these daily devotions. But you will also find a very important common thread: faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

As you read through each daily devotion, please say a prayer for the writer, then add a prayer for all the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Civilians serving in harmís way. May every devotion be a blessing to you, and may your journey through this Lenten season be one of self discovery and renewal which leads to a deeper relationship with the Lord.

Sustaining the Spirit!!
