Staff

  • Chief Of Staff  - The Chief of Staff is the commander's principal assistant for directing coordinating supervising, and training the staff.
Personal Staff - These staff officers work under the immediate control of the commander and therefore have direct access to the commander. Either by law or by regulation, these staff officers have a unique relationship with the commander.
  • Aide-de-Camp - This officer serves as a personal assistant to the commanding general and relieves the CG of routine and time-consuming duties.
  • Staff Chaplain - The chaplain is the CG's confidential advisor on religious matters within the command.
  • Inspector General (IG) - The IG advises the CG on the overall welfare and state of discipline of the command. The IG is also a confidential advisor to the CG.
  • Public Affairs Officer (PAO) - The PAO is responsible for understanding and fulfilling the information needs of soldiers and employees, the Army community, and the public. The PAO advises and informs the CG of the public affairs impact and implications of planned or implemented operations.
  • Equal Opportunity - Equal Opportunity Advisor (EOA) is the special staff officer responsible for coordinating matters concerning equal opportunity for soldiers and their family members.
  • Safety Officer - Safety Officer is the special staff officer responsible for coordinating safety activities throughout the command.
  • Retention Noncommissioned Officer in Charge (Retention NCOIC) - The Retention NCOIC manages the retention program to achieve and maintain readiness through the retention of highly qualified soldiers.
  • Secretary to the General Staff (SGS) - Secretary of the General Staff (SGS) is the special staff officer who acts as executive officer for the chief of staff.
  • G-1 - Assistant Chief of Staff, Personnel (G1), is the principal staff officer for all matters concerning human resources (military and civilian) which include personel readiness, personnel services, and headquarters management.
  • G-2 - Assistant Chief of Staff, Intelligence (G2), is the principal staff officer for all matters concerning military intelligence, counterintelligence, security operations, and military intelligence training.
  • G-3 - Assistant Chief of Staff, Operations (G3), is the principal staff officer for all matters concerning training, operations and plans, and force development and modernization.
  • G-4 - Assistant Chief of Staff, Logistics (G4), is the principal staff officer for coordinating the logistics integration of supply, maintenance, transportation, and services for the command.
  • G-6 - Assistant Chief of Staff, Signal (G6), is the principal staff officer for all matters concerning signal operations, automation management, network management, and information security.
  • G-8 - Resource Management (RM) - Resource Manager (RM) is the special staff officer responsible for budget preparation and resource management analysis and implementation for the command.
  • Support Operations (SPO) - Support Operations Officer (SPO) is the principal staff officer for coordinating logistics and combat health support to supported units.
