Command Sergeant Major, 3D Sustainment Command (Expeditionary)
Command Sergeant Major Willie C. Tennant, Sr.

3rd ESC Command Sergeant Major Willie C. TennantCommand Sergeant Major Willie C. Tennant Sr. hales from Pleasantville, New Jersey. He entered the U.S. Army in September 1978. He attended Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Dix, New Jersey as a Food Service Specialist (94B). Command Sergeant Major Tennant has an Associate of Science Degree in General Studies from Central Texas College and is currently working towards a BS degree in Business Management with Liberty University.


Command Sergeant Major Tennant’s most recent assignment was CSM for the 3d Corps Support Command, Wiesbaden Germany from October 2006 to September 2007. 


CSM Tennant's military education includes Airborne School, Air Assault School, Primary Leadership Course, Basic and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Courses, Battle Staff Course, Battalion Training Management Course, Dining Facility Management Course, Food Service Management Course, Combat Lifesaver Course, First Sergeant Course, Small Group Instructor Course, Instructor Training Course, (ITC) Command Sergeant’s Major Course; Sergeant’s Major Course, Senior Leader Equal Opportunity Course, Senior NCO Safety Course and the Command Sergeant Major Force Management Course. 


CSM Tennant’s Awards include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star (1st OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (2d OLC), Army Commendation Medal (4th  OLC), Army Achievement Medal (4th OLC), Meritorious Unit Commendation Medal, Army Superior Unit Award; Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal; Good Conduct Medal (9th Award), National Defense Service Medal w/star; South West Asia Ribbon with 3 campaigns, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Armed Force Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 4), Army Service Ribbon; Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 5), NATO Service Ribbon, Saudi Arabia Defense Medal, Kuwait Liberation Medal, Parachutist Badge, Air Assault Badge, Drivers Badge (Wheel), German Parachutist Badge, and the Distinguished Order of Saint Martin.
